Many thanks for your reply, James.

I didn’t know that it was a software issue. I don’t have admin rights at
the computer in which I would record the screencast. So I adding a
DirectShow device is not a option for me.

I don’t have much Windows knowledge. But I had recorded screencast with
Camstudio before (this seems not to be an option anymore). Is there now
way to use ffmpeg with VFW? Sorry if write nonsense, I’m guessing.
