Run the `git log`  after changing to the directory that contains your
cloned ffmpeg repository:

$git clone https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg.git
$cd ffmpeg
$ git log e278500

commit e278500181b825bf6ccbe6e6aba1e993aa820dd2
