[FFmpeg-user] DTS Output

Hi all,

I searched and searched, but could not seem to find an answer to this, so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject, but I have a Synology NAS, I just installed ffmpeg, and now my MKV files with DTS encoded audio can be played directly from DS Video on my Apple TV 4. My question is: am I hearing DTS audio? Is ffmpeg transcoding from DTS to AC3? Or is it just passing the DTS to my receiver to decode?
