[FFmpeg-user] Audio filter: removesilence doesn't appear to do anything

well the only thing that looks odd to me is you have an h264 video stream in your 'mpeg 4 audio' file. (.m4a)

have you tried extracting the audio or converting to uncompressed and running the same command?
