We would like to an application using the FFmpeg tool that can
simultaneously, a) process video streams from IP based cameras and display
on a monitor and, b) create a single mp4 file for subsequent playback.  

 

In our research, we also reviewed OBS and OpenCV; however, our sense is that
FFmpeg seems to be the better fit for our requirements.  We would appreciate
feedback from experienced developers in this group.  Thank you.
