Yeah, I would also want to know this.

After calling avformat_network_init(), 
I discovered that just call avformat_open_input() with url(applehttp://
prefix) as filename would do almost the whole thing.

The url is point to m3u8 playlist and it can probe the content correctly.
However, I am not sure that it really can be done so easily. What about the
functions in applehttp.c? Is avformat_open_input() somehow call those
function? Is this enough to support http live streaming?
If not, is there any sample example to do so?
