[Libav-user] installing for Windows

A stupid, naïve question that has probably been answered before but I would
appreciate a reply:

 

I downloaded
<http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/win64/dev/ffmpeg-20121120-git-8b6aeb1-win6
4-dev.7z> FFmpeg git-8b6aeb1 64-bit Dev (Latest)  from Zeranoe

 

I want to use FFmpeg on Win 7.  Is there an install process ?  

 

should I rename the dll s ??  [e.g.  I have:  libavcodec.dll.a ]

have I downloaded the wrong file ??
