I don't find it completely unlikely that FFmpeg simply 
fails to save streams coming from unreliable network 
source (FFmpeg by default refuses to write invalid 
streams, that is at least how it is supposed to 
behave) but without a working command line and the 
complete console output (at least the first 50 and 
the last 50 lines) it is impossible to help you.
