[Libav-user] what's ffmpeg parser?

Hi

By ./configure -help I found these:

  --enable-parser=NAME     enable parser NAME
  --disable-parser=NAME    disable parser NAME
  --disable-parsers        disable all parsers

may I know what are the parsers?

Will --disable-parsers cause decoding fail?
