So that's why he asked where the code was on my blog about a week ago :)

Your input is being detected as video, you need to use ffmpeg -i
inputfile.wav -acodec mlp ~/OutputFile.mlp

This is assuming that your encoder is properly registered with AVCodec, and
the build system (there are a few files that have to be set up for it to
compile properly, like config.h, the configure and make scripts, and I feel
like I'm forgetting another one or two.)
